SBTS Panel Confronts Wright's View on Justification
Sad continuation to the earlier panel discussion moderated by Denny. It borders to character assassination. I was just reading Fee’s Paul, the Spirit, and the people of God yesterday and he said almost the same thing as Wright did concerning the work of the Spirit and future justification more than 10 years ago! But, I do not see the panellists going all out to denounce him as someone leading the flock astray. Sad.

Thank you for the link.
I think you should post a blog-post on the similarity between Wright and Fee which the Southeners are criticizing. That'd help many to see this character assassination clearer.
Cheers.
Everyone who read Wright know that it is a 6 volume project now! Seifrid still stuck at The New Testament and the People of God?
In the previous panel hosted by Denny Burk, Mark Seifrid really did not show the grace of a fellow believer by the derogatory comments he made of Wright. Really frustrating and sad because to what end is the kind of criticism?
Like Wright has said many times, we are not saved because we believe in the justification by faith. We are saved because we believe in Jesus Christ.
So those who have not read Wright would go away thinking Wright is not all right at all (although I have my disagrement with Wright).
Sad.....
dont have to read the entire books. Summarize like SBTS criticize X of Wright. Then you point out that Fee also mentioned X.
That would suffice and good enough :)
Hi Kar Yong
Actually, I got to know about this at Michael Gorman's blog. I posted my comment there and then pasted it on my own blog. ;-)
At Gorman's blog, there are those who are like us, unhappy at the treatment of Wright by SBTS even though we may not agree with him entirely. It is really sad because it seems grace is lost in the spur of the moment especially for Seifrid. I noticed this from the previous panel discussion hosted by Burk.
