Justification and Redemption in Romans 3

Rom 3:24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Rom 3:25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

Redemption through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ has been completed once and for all in history through Jesus Christ and this is made available to all irregardless whether we believe it or not. (It is precisely our choice of not believing in this redemption through Jesus Christ that we are condemned.) We are justified, declared righteous by God and forgiven of our sins when we choose to believe that Jesus Christ has redeemed us. Redemption is God's way of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Justification is God's judgement that our sins are forgiven and God's declaration that we are made righteous because we have believed in the redemptive sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is done according to His grace and not qualified by any works.

This belief in Jesus' redemption is continuously confessed through acts of faith. Thus, the state that we are declared righteous and forgiven or justified is dependent on the continuous confession of our faith in Jesus Christ, that He is Lord and He has redeemed us.

We are saved through Jesus Christ
We are justified by faith in Jesus Christ
